Quick Easy Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

Do you want delicious Chicken and Dumplings fast? This creamy stovetop Chicken And Dumplings recipe is made easy with premade frozen dumplings or canned biscuits. The best part it can be on your table in just 30 minutes!! This is the best recipe is so so good!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
  • 1/2 large yellow onion, diced (or one medium)
  • 2 carrots, sliced (optional)
  • 32 ounces of Chicken stock, homemade preferred
  • 10.5 ounces Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 bay leaf (optional)
  • 2-3 cups cooked shredded chicken ( I use rotisserie)
  • 1 bag Reames of frozen dumplings or 2 cans of refrigerated biscuits cut in quarters.
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Saute carrots and onion until soft
  2. Add cream of chicken soup and stock and stir
  3. Add 2-3 cups of shredded chicken
  4. Add dumplings or cut biscuits into small pieces and place in the chicken stock mixture. Stir well.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Reduce the heat, stir well, and let simmer for 5-10 minutes

Notes

Substitute egg noodles for the dumplings or biscuits.

Use rotisserie chicken to make it easy.

Each chicken is about 4 cups.

Chicken can be added in bigger chunks since it will shred more in the liquid.
