Easy Peach Crostata
A great reason to try this delectable Peach Crostata! A crostata is a rustic, free form baked tart. It's called a galette in France and a Crostata in Italy... And since I'm pretty sure I was Italian in another life....I call it a Crostata!
It differs from a tart in that a tart infers it's been baked in a tart pan. I just roll the dough right out on parchment paper, pile on the toppings and bake on a sheet pan. Crazy easy!
I love making these all year. In the summer I use summer stone fruit and berries. In the winter, figs, apples, pears....or just about any seasonal fruit. You can also make these as a savory dish. Picture if you will, a mushroom crostata with gooey Gruyère cheese and thyme. Yummy! So start with this peach crostata.....impress your friends by sharing it on National Eat a Peach Day....and then use your imagination and create Crostatas all year long! Ciao!
Oh....and if you make this...upload a pic of your beauty with the #celebratetheeverydays I'd love to see them!!
