It is a crowd-pleasing cocktail that is my go-to for parties all holiday season!

Holiday Sangria
Host a little holiday cocktail party and enjoy your party right along with your guests. You wouldn’t be busy mixing cocktails because you made this festive, seasonal, special pitcher of Sparkling Holiday Red Wine Sangria the day before! It is a crowd-pleasing cocktail that is my go-to for parties all holiday season!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 bottle of red wine
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup brandy
- 2 applew, cored and cubed
- 1 orange, halved and thinly sliced
- 2-3 cinnamon sticks
- 4 star anise (optional but festive)
- Rosemary sprigs or cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)
- 1/2 bottle sparkling apple cider, prosecco or champagne, chilled
Instructions
- Combine the sugar, red wine, cranberries, brandy, apples, oranges, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and rosemary into a pitcher. Mix well, cover and place in the refrigerator overnight to allow flavors to come together.
- Just before serving, add the sparkling apple cider champagne OR prosecco, stir to combine. Serve over ice garnished with fresh rosemary sprigs.
Notes
You could also substitute the red wine for white wine if you prefer.
You could also rim the class in sugar for a festive touch
