Prep time: 15 MinTotal time: 15 Min

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • *1 cup freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • *1 cup freshly grated Monterey Jack cheese.
  • 2-3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (or more to taste)
  • 1-2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning or other dried herbs
  • dash freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • 1 bag Pita Chips bagel chips or crackers
  • 1 real pumpkin stem, or use a strip of pepper, celery, or pretzel rod to insert for a stem)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients (except bagel seasoning) to a medium mixing bowl. Mix with an electric hand mixer until smooth.
  2. Shape into a ball using greased hands.
  3. Roll the cheese ball in the bagel seasoning.
  4. Next, place the cheese ball on a double layer of plastic wrap, and pull the wrap up around the cheese ball and tie it tightly at the top to form a ball shape. Make a dent where the stem will go.
  5. Cut 6 pieces of string about 2 feet long each. Lay them in a star pattern over each other, place the wrapped cheese ball in the center and tie it up and around tightly to form the pumpkin shape.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours or overnight
  7. Unwrap about 30 minutes before serving. (room temperature cheese tastes better) And insert the pumpkin stem
  8. Serve with crackers, pita chips, or whatever you fancy.
